Thank goodness it's Friday. Even with Monday for a holiday this has been a long week. I am looking forward to sitting and reading/stitching the weekend away. It was 11 degress over night last night but by Monday we will be in the 60s.
Yesterday the kiddos and I went to the library and shopping after school. I checked five books out from the library to read. (As if I don't already have a ton here at the house) I started a new read last night. It is "If on a winter's night a traveler" by Italo Calvino. It is really good. Basically it is a novel about two people who are trying to read a novel and the copies of the novel they buy are printed wrong. They keep meeting while trying to exchange the incorrect novels for new ones. So far so good. Here is a pic of the front.

While out shopping yesterday, I bought a new outfit for work. Now I don't have a job yet but am interviewing. I hope to have one in the next couple of weeks.
I also started a new cross stitch project yesterday. It is Fireside Originals Desert Sunset II. This piece will hang in our den when it is finished.

I also want to show you a few new updates on my WIPs. The first is Snowbuddies Afghan by Stoney Creek. I just need to finish backstitching the heart then I can start the bottom border.

Here is a close up of the heart.

The next pic is of the Needlepoint Pillow.

Sorry about the white pony tail holder underneath!
Lastly is ME Happy Face Snowman.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Until later, have a blessed day.
